Math Superstars is a math enrichment program that is in addition to the regular classroom curriculum. The choice to participate is up to you, as the parent, and your child. Math Superstars provides an opportunity to enhance your child's journey through mathematics by solving challenging and fun problems.

Your child will receive a worksheet each week via email that is listed in PTA registration. Please print the document and make it available for your child.  Encourage your child to do as many problems as he or she can. The more stars you see beside a problem, the higher the level of difficulty and the more stars that will be earned for solving it. The process of reading, understanding and approaching the problems is a valuable step in solving many types of problems. Try to let your child do the problems independently, but it is fine to help by suggesting strategies.

The program starts on October 2, 2009. The user name and password is provided in the weekly Math Superstars email communication.

This program is run entirely by the PTA. The worksheets are corrected (confidentially) by parent volunteers. Please note that Kindergarten Math Superstars will start in January.
